This article will assist users to update their VPN Configurations for the Sophos Connect Client:
1. Open your browser (Chrome is preferred) and goto https://gateway.madec.edu.au:4443
2. Login using your MADEC username and password (the same details you use to login to your computer)
3. On the left hand side, click SSL VPN
4. Under "VPN Configuration", click Download for Windows, macOS, Linux
5. Your browser should now download the file. If you are using Chrome, it will appear at the bottom of the window. It can also be found in your Downloads folder.
There are 2 methods of installing the new configuration:
1. Simply open the file, either from the browser window as it is downloaded, or from the Downloads folder and double-clicking the file.
OR
2. Open the Sophos Connect Client, either from the system tray (as per the image at the top of this article), or from the Start menu.
Click the small Cog next to your current connection (gateway.madec.edu.au) and choose Delete, and OK.
Click Import Connection
Find the file in your downloads and select Open/Import
Once imported, you can click the Connect button in the client to establish your VPN connection using your MADEC username and password.
