This article provides instructions on how to enrol your VETtrak user login with Multi-Factor Authentication.
MFA ensures enhanced login security for MADEC systems.
Before following these instructions, ensure you have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed, either on your MADEC issued mobile device or a personal mobile device:
- Sign in to the VETtrak Trainer Portal https://madec.vtportal.com.au/TrainerPortal/
- Click on the User image (top right) and click Profile
- Under Security, click "Manage two-factor"
- You will be required to login again, using the same username and password
- You will be presented with a QR code. Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device, tap the + button (top right), tap Add Work/School account, and select Scan QR code.
- Using the camera, scan the QR code on your screen.
- Once succesfully added, VETtrak-MADEC+Australia should appear in the list of accounts in your Authenticator app, along with a 6-digit code.
- Enter this code in the box provided on the Trainer Portal screen, then click Validate:
- A Green tick will appear on screen confirming you have completed the process.
- A list of Backup Codes will then be shown, you do not need to copy these.
You will need to enter this code when logging into the VETtrak Application or the Trainer Portal.
