This article provides instructions on how to enrol your VETtrak user login with Multi-Factor Authentication.
MFA ensures enhanced login security for MADEC systems.
Before following these instructions, ensure you have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed, either on your MADEC issued mobile device or a personal mobile device:
- Sign in to VETtrak using the Launcher.
- Click on the File menu, and click "Configure two-factor authentication..."
- You will be required to enter your password again, and click OK
- This will present the wizard:
- Click Next
- You will be presented with a QR code. Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device, tap the + button (top right), tap Add Work/School account, and select Scan QR code.
- Using the camera, scan the QR code on your screen.
- Once succesfully added, VETtrak-MADEC+Australia should appear in the list of accounts in your Authenticator app, along with a 6-digit code.
- On the wizard, click Next
- Enter the 6 digit code from your Authenticator app, and click Verify:
- The wizard will confirm successful configuration, then click Next
- A list of Backup Codes will then be shown, you do not need to copy these. Click Next, then Finish.
You will need to enter this code when logging into the VETtrak Application or the Trainer Portal.
